E-Go Max Folding Electric Bike 250W

I investigated loads. Within 24hrs of placing the order my bike arrived? The courier had bent the derailleur. A few emails and a replacement arrived within days with a free accessory along with friendly service. The bike performs as I expected and is lighter than others with a longer range battery. My only suggested improvement might be a U shaped bracket beneath to protect the pedal cog when folded/ transporting in an upright position. Highly recommended UK company.

Has been positive so far, even though I've had my bike for a around a fortnight, I still haven't had the pleasure of riding it, due to a few fitting issue's, hopefully it will be ready when the time comes to endure my backside but not as yet.

I'm 6ft3, 120Kgs, and needed a folding bike for my like of work, but very few had a weight limit higher than 100kg. E-go Max bikes solved that problem! Not only being foldable, but also electric, making life even easier, even fits in a shopping cart lol

I can't rate this bike and Eco Bike for their help and advise during the whole buying process, especially as I took out the Cycle to Work scheme for the first time too.

Don't go elsewhere!

Delivery and communication spotless. I found the E-go max bike a bit shaky on uneven surfaces due to lack of suspension, brakes could be bit better but do the job. I gave 5 stars as on flat surfaces the ride is very pleasant. Easily glide up the hill without effort and the battery is really a monster, last for long as advertised.

Box with e-go max arrived as promised, on time! Surprised to see long box as expected to see it folded up into a smaller box. Went together easily but I resisted testing out until battery fully charged up. Bike perfomed brilliantly up and down hills and on rough tracks, (fat tyres). Not a problem but tyres needed pumping up to pressure so make sure you have a tyre pump handy. Have to say that the ladies I dealt with at ecobike co. were absolutely brilliant, big thankyou. Brilliant piece of kit, very happy. 😊

I received this bike with scratched on the side.
I informed them but there was not reaction.
Also I had a hudge problem with connection battery but again no help from customer service.
There is also 1 thing. When this bike is folded is relaied on the chain system which is plastic so might be pretty damaged.
Customer service is extremely poor.
Is cheaper for this quality and scratched bike to order directly from China!
Battery is extremely weak.
You need to charge all the time. And charger is a poor quality

Was really impressed by the service and got my bike the next day was told it did not come built but thankfully it came built with rear rack and mud guards on it.
Battery is great on the Max and the 14ah is a big help for the hills and terrific range, I did not find the lack of documentation an issue as all the instructions are on the e-go website.

The bike arrived promptly and was in good condition. As other reviewers have commented, putting on the mudguards and the rack without any documentation was a considerable challenge, but after looking at some pictures on the web and figuring out which length of screw to use where, I got there. Using the bike is straightforward; although the documentation on the electrical assistance is woefully inadequate, I figured it out by trial and error. There was no documentation regarding tyre pressure, so again, after consulting the internet, I settled on 85psi, which seems to work well.

In multi-hour use including a variety of hills, I have been impressed with its performance and felt that it gave me five times the speed for about twice the effort of walking; pretty much exactly what I was hoping. I haven't yet pushed the limits of the range, but would be comfortable with 30-40 miles / three hours, and it would posibly do a lot better. A limitation is the top non-downhill speed of about 15-20mph imposed by the gearing, which may be the result of some legal issue or other. Disc brakes seem to work well.

It's very solidly constructed, albeit heavy, and the fold/unfold system is sturdy and well thought out; I would treat it as a big holiday suitcase in terms of weight and portability. I have taped over the truly awful flourescent green marketing decals (E-Go Max - Life Without Limits) with black gorilla tape, and now feel comfortable with the look of the bike overall. For security I've settled on a motorbike heavy duty steel/plastic cable, a robust D-lock and a bag to hide it in; also I may choose in future to leave it in a hotel or other business rather than on public view.

This e go lite bike is soooo sweet. Fast, versitile durable and a well built bike. 7ah battery makes a big difference. Get the big bum seat though. Makes a big difference in the comfort. Good all round bike.

Very well made and sturdy Bike. Once charged, good range before requiring another charge.
Delivery was very quick.
On the downside, no instructions supplied, took a fair while to assemble the various parts. Would not take much to include this in the package box.
