Westhill Ranger Hybrid Crossbar Electric Bike

I bought this bike having spoken to Ecobike and discussed a number of other bikes they had on sale plus another I had test rode at a local bike shop. The bike I actually bought was an ex demo model they had for sale hence it arrived, delivered by a specialist courier, already assembled with a fully charged battery and ready to ride. Following a follow up call I’ve also be provided with a full instruction manual. The bike looks great close up, the saddle is very comfortable and having completed 3 rides I’m very pleased with the battery life, after about 80km and only using the assist on occasions during the rides it still has 80% left. The display is easy to see and there are numerous options to change the settings to suit ones individual needs, the default settings suit me just fine though. The only one small negative, which doesn’t warranted knocking a star off the rating, is the bell is a bit rubbish so I might buy a new one. Overall I’m very happy with the bike and the service provided by Ecobike, hope this is useful and be safe on the road.

After a long wait it here went together well although struggled getting the handlebars on lwiring Seemed to be all tangled. but all Sorted. only done about 20 miles so far as | have not ridden a push bike for 30 years. enough power for the steepest hills around here.
One annoyance is the very noisy front brake cleaned the disc with alcohol but no difference, will give the pads a few more miles to bed in then I will remove and clean up.

I received my bike on the 14th July having waited for it to be built. Putting it together was a piece of cake and the build quality is excellent. I did my first ride two days later and covered a gentle 30 miles. What a brilliant bicycle, easy to ride and the battery range is superb. I can’t recommend both the bike manufacturer and Ecobike company highly enough.

Eco Bike couldn’t have been more helpful advising on the correct size of bike and subsequently sorting out a couple of small issues. Sasha was particularly helpful.
The Westhill is a well put together bike with the kick of electric power coming in smoothly and with plenty of torque. The assembly instructions aren’t the best in the world (a fairly generic manual) but the settings for the power unit via the LCD screen are good. Only issue I would say are the grips on the handle bars, they are a bit weedy but will be easy to change. All in all a great bike for under £2k.

The Westhill Ranger bike was a little trickier to construct than I was originally led to believe but the Company were again very helpful post sale.

After doing research I then had several online chats with Jarrod who was extremely patient and helpful. The end result was a perfect choice of bike and battery for my requirements. I have been out on 4 long cycles, the longest being 38 miles. These would have killed me on my hybrid. I enjoyed the whole day and the top setting on the Pedal assist got me up any hill in 3rd gear. I also used less than 50% of the battery life which shows the potential range cycling as I do. I would strongly recommend this company and this bike.
