Wisper Tailwind 806 Low Step Folding Electric Bike

Bike brilliant, purchase from ecobike very good until transfer of money. Then nothing, re shipping, delivery time, after sale follow up etc. Took the edge off the experience, hence only 4 star.

This bike is so easy to ride that it has replaced my car for all trips less than 50 miles!
The combination of gears and motor was enough for Cornish hills even with a gale force wind blowing towards me!
The throttle feature is super helpful for traffic lights and hill starts too!
It has held up even on muddy roads, questionable bridleways, and city centres during stormy conditions when I've been caught out unexpectedly!
Overall, an honestly brilliant piece of kit!

The bike turned out to be everything we hoped for. There was a small mix-up with the supply of the product. Sasha from Eco-Bike company went above and beyond to correct this issue. Daily updates and super communication via email and telephone supported me to a very satisfactory conclusion. If you’re looking for an e-bike go to Eco-Bike company, you will be in good hands!

This is a fantastic ebike! I bought the torque version and it delivers everything promised and more. The push you get when you set off is marvellous. With the other ebikes I had (Popal, Radrunner), I had difficulty setting off, always felt nervous if I had to stop half way up a steep hill. Now I can relax! I get a workout and if I can't manage anymore (and sometimes I can't - I'm in my 70s and only took up riding again a year ago) I can use the throttle. You still have to keep pedalling but I (almost) fly. In comparison to cadence sensor bikes (which I had before), you have to work harder but the reward is great. I can breathe better. I am noticeably much less out of breath than I used to be. As you can gather, I'm an older, unfit person, who is enormously grateful for Wisper's technology. I am grateful, too, to the staff at Ecobike, especially to Jarred who has always been immediately helpful and ever patient. In addition to the marvellous customer service, the prices cannot be bettered.

If you’ve been debating with yourself whether to get yourself an ebike I would say to you ...do it ! I’m in my sixties with asthma and was a bit worried that I would still be puffing and struggling but far from it , long rides are a doddle ! Total game changer ! The bike itself, mine is the 806 folding one , is well built and comfortable to ride .

We love our Whisper electric folding bikes. The retailer support is excellent and we are thoroughly enjoying this new experience. The bikes themselves appear to be very well and solidly built. We have only had them a month, but they appear to do everything they claim. The paint finish is excellent, with the colour eliciting many compliments. We are 'senior' (in age not cycling terms) and have chosen to upgrade to the largest softest saddles we could find and a gear lever which better fitted our preferences. If you are looking for a step through, folding e-bike we can say we are delighted with our Whispers.

The Wisper 806 is an excellent e-bike. As an older person of no great stature, getting on and off a bike needs to be easy and safe. Unlike many other folding bikes the main frame centre bar is curved downward making it very low and therefore it is an easy step-thru to mount. The 3 levels of Assist are perfectly adequate though I find that level 1 is sufficient for most riding. There is a quick burst control which immediately pulls you up anything steep. It's a twist grip control on the far right of the left handlebar. Mind you don't catch it when standing and holding the handlebar. Lights are included (all bikes should have these) and are easy to switch on via the illuminated LED screen. There is a disc brake on both the front and rear wheel which I haven't seen on any other folding e-bike. Folds up easily too, though there isn't a magnetic catch for holding the two wheels together. You need to use a strap to do that. They do include a luggage strap. Wisper bikes have also sent us some helicopter tape to protect the frame from scratching when folded. The only reason I haven't given full 5 stars is because I've had difficulty getting luggage for the rear rack. They do include a large elastic luggage strap similar to a bungy to tie a bag on; but I wanted to fit a proper rack bag. There is no space between the rack itself and the battery to thread through any locating straps for a top of rack bag. With the fantastic customer service they provide and the quality and features of this bike, I would recommend it to anyone. Both myself and my husband use it to cut out using the car for shorter journeys. But it's great fun too.
