Ampere Hilux Crossbar Electric Bike

The bike I got is brilliant, doesn’t everything that was described and listed about the bike online when I was looking at new bikes, also all the pictures of it was good too as you could see all the parts it had described. The customer service was amazing, all staff I spoke too was extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for me, they helped me through the process of the cycle 2 work scheme and also with delivery too, keeping me up to date with it all and also after I received my bike, I had staff members checking everything was ok and my bike came in good condition. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I’ve been riding bikes since I was 5 and I’m now 64, so nearly 60 years.
I’ve got to say that this bike is probably one of the best that I’ve owned. The fit and finish is exemplary and I would definitely recommend.

Bought this bike for my husband after much deliberation as he didn't think he needed an e bike. Well he absolutely loves it and one of the best things we have bought. Just takes the
pressure of. Even without assist this bike rides easily. The assist is a bonus. Thank you Ecobike for making the purchase so simple and straight forward. Only one negative about
these bikes the bikes are not predrilled for a bottle holder, perhaps Ampere could consider this in future. Everything else is great therefore gave 5 stars 🌟

With so many e bikes and brands to choose from I did a lot of searching reviews and so was a little apprehensive when jumping in and ordering two Ampere bikes. One for my wife and one for myself. Both were easy and with minimal parts to assemble with tools supplied . The quality of the bikes is five star and excellent value for money. I purchased from Eco bikes and at all times was contacted in relation to receiving the order to dispatch and delivery. All in all a good experience and would not hesitate to buy from again.

Ok, Im not too old, but this bike has changed my life. I used to love to ride my normal bike. But age does creep up on a person. I gave up several years ago thinking ‘this is it, my biking days are over’. Now, with this bike, I can once again get out into the countryside under (mostly) my own power. You still have to put the effort in but the bike just makes hills and headwinds disappear.
The bike itself not only looks great, but is extremely well put together. The components are very high quality, and everything worked straight out of the box (after a little assembly).
I recommend this bike to anyone without reservation.

A superbly equipped bike that looks good and is powerful enough for more than the commute. Tough enough for moderate off road. Get the 13Ah battery.

I only have the bike a few weeks.
I live in Northern Ireland so it took a week to arrive and that was fine. The bike arrived needing the wheel, mudguards and seat to fit. This was very easy and the protective packaging was very good.
The bike is superb to ride and very easy to use the gears and the 5power modes. It makes cycling around my area very easy. Glides up the hills with ease. I bought the bigger battery so as not needing to charge as much and got almost 50miles for 1st charge. I would recommend this bike for every day use. It can go quite fast on the flat as I go speeds of 15-16 ml hr. The led screen is very easy to use and some people say it’s hard to see but I find it ok.
Unfortunately it dosent have screw holes for a water bottle holder. Big negative for me but I knew this before purchasing. I ado was promised a free chain lock but after ringing twice and the guy saying it would be sent it still hasn’t arrived. Hopefully it will arrive soon.
Overall if your thinking of buying this bike for going to the shops or to the golf club and some nice ride outs just go for it you won’t be dissatisfied. I got the blue one and it’s just lovely
So guys please send my chain lock.

It took a while to assemble and there were a few tricky bits but it’s a fantastic bike to ride, smooth and easy to control. Love not having an App to control the bike too

Very pleased with this ebike, pedaling is relatively easy and the motor is quiet. Steep hills need a bit of effort from the rider but hasn't defeated the ebike. The range in my case for the 14ah battery is 30 miles and recharge takes 5.5hrs
I find myself using levels 3-5 most of the time and find no benefit from 1-2 as you may as well have a conventional bike. Level 3 does 10mph. Level 4 does 12.5 and level 5 does 15.5 which is comfortable cruising but to avoid the motor assistance cutting in and out at top speeds then drop your gear to 6 and this prevents your efforts feeling like the brakes are coming on as the assistance limit is reached. If you adjust your gears accordingly then this ebike fulfills what you need within the laws of the UK at present. The ebike has quality parts and is well packed for delivery. Assembly is fairly easy and the mudguards, lights are a bonus. eco additional warranty and price for the bigger battery were a bonus. With the range I am getting then i would advise going for the bigger battery at the outset to prevent range anxiety.
Only niggle at this time is the brake pads rubbing the disk on the front wheel but i guess this will ease off in time.
